This theory will remain useful, until it is replace by a better one.
I love this idea. Maybe especially at the beginning of my research career. Just make something that ‘fits’. This is kind of a personal philosophy as well.
Make a suggestion. Make a measurable improvement for as many people as you can.

Chunking implies the ability to build up such structures recursively.

I’ve long been reaching for some quantitative argument for making things organized so that they fit in a users memory.
Can you tell me how difficult it would be to recall a given structure?
the question of how the speed up actually occurs with additional chunks remains unexplained… then took the next step…
